Coffee packed shortly after roasting presents some packaging issues. The roast needs to be protected from oxidative forces that destroy the aroma and flavour, and secondly, freshly roasted beans release significant amounts of CO2 gas that needs to be vented without oxygen re-entering. To overcome these two issues Thriving provides bags with a choice of suitably structured barrier laminates, and proven one-way filtered membrane valves used world wide to vent the CO2 gas while the coffee is fresh.
